Festival Performers' Information

The 2008 Surry Hills Festival, scheduled for Saturday 12 April in Prince Alfred Park, is shaping up to be the biggest and the best yet. Three entertainment stages will showcase a diverse range of styles: acoustic, rock, dance, world music, as well as two DJ stages.

An estimated 90,000 people attended the event in 2007, and the Festival has become one of Sydney's premier inner city events. It is made possible by the generosity of artists & entertainers, key corporate sponsors and the local Surry Hills community.

The deadline is 31 January 2008 for any local bands, artists, DJs, budding MCs and roving entertainers interested in volunteering their talents and energy to making the 2008 Surry Hills Festival a huge success.

The Festival is the major fundraising activity for the Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre and we are grateful to the amazing performers who generously give their time and talent for free each year.

As well as brilliant music & entertainment, 250 market stalls will be spread across Prince Alfred Park, inviting Festival goers to browse through the Bazaar Alley, engage with local artisans, enjoy something sumptuous from the International Food areas, kick back in the Chill Zone, and much more.

The 2008 Festival will showcase talent that reflects the diverse nature of the Surry Hills area and the broader City of Sydney community. If you would like to be considered to perform at the Festival, please submit a demo CD, half page biography, contact details (including email, website address and telephone number) by 31 January to:
